Why?

You trust your doctor. He’s credentialed. (hopefully) You have known him for a long time. He treats your friends and family as well. BUT… you would still probably get a second opinion. Right?

Sometimes receiving another point of view can be helpful in solving a problem. In fact, an alternative viewpoint could illuminate solutions that you didn’t even know were available. And just because you get another outlook, it doesn’t mean you have to follow that plan.

New York moving to Legalize Recreational Marijuana within Months

Governor Cuomo in New York is moving quickly forward to legalize recreational cannabis use. Cuomo had been an opponent of legalization, but his stance has softened in the last few years and changed completely after a recent study suggested “the benefits of taxing and regulating the drug outweighed any negative effects.” Various organizations and groups are already fighting for the revenue legalization will produce.

2018 Farm Bill Nearing Passage for CBD and Hemp Companies

The 2018 Farm Bill is nearly ready to go to President Trump’s desk for a signature. The Farm Bill includes many provisions, but one of the most interesting is the inclusion of hemp.

The Democrats successfully retook the House last night in the U.S. Midterms. The question is, “What does that mean for your portfolio?”

With a divided Congress and polarization at extremes, the Trump/Republican legislative agenda will likely come to a screeching halt. The Democrats do not have enough control to really “undo” anything, but they can stand in the way of further moves by Trump.
